Overcards in a raised pot
Don't really know villians' tendencies at all. Flop cold call okay? Call turn bet?

I just fold the flop too. RIO and you're no close to closing the action here. |

Re: Overcards in a raised pot
its a easy call for one bet on the flop but 2cold you have to lay it down

Re: Overcards in a raised pot
very easy fold on the flop. 3bet preflop depends on the utg raising range i guess.

Re: Overcards in a raised pot
3-bet pre.
As played, you can't cold call two bets on this flop. 3-bet or fold, and I'd lean way more towards folding. |

With two overcards, the gut shot, and the backdoor flush draw, you have about 6 to 7 adjusted outs. To call two small bets here you need an expected final pot size of only about 7 big bets (not counting your current bet and your future action). I think it will be there easy. There are 5.5 BBs in there right now. You should see the turn and fold without improvement. I disagree with the poster who suggested a 3 bet preflop. This would be the correct play with only the raiser in the pot, but not with a raiser and a caller. AQ should only raise when the pot can be limited to a very small number of players (Sklansky). |

Re: Overcards in a raised pot
I 3-bet preflop, the hand plays differently from there. Getting 5.5-1 not closing the action and not knowing when my OC's are good I think I fold the flop.

easy flop fold. pf just depends on the table/opponents [/ QUOTE ] Surely its a 3 bet even against somebody who is 20/10 shorthanded limit is all about dead money, by calling no dead money, which means you'll have to either hit the flop or have a crystal ball. 3 bet here every time or give up. If you 3 bet you can then have a pop at them on the flop. Calling just sucks in every way. If you are afraid of aa,kk,qq,ak here you should not be playing shorthanded limit. Go and play full ring where AQ is a marginal hand. |
