NL1k river
I think im spewing too much, by 3barreling or too frequent bluffing retards, hence this hand.
Villain seems very bad. Sat down with 200. I´ve doubled him twice within 50 hands, both on semi coolers, semi std hands. He is running 52/12/0.7 over 50 hands. $5.00/$10.00 - No Limit Hold'em - 14:03:55 - 2007/09/18 Seat 1: X($1,087.75) Seat 2: HERO($995.00) Seat 3: X ($985.00) Seat 4: Villain ($1,670.00) Seat 5: X ($1,193.75) Seat 6: X ($1,000.00) X posts the small blind of $5.00 X posts the big blind of $10.00 The button is in seat #4 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to HERO [3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] X folds HERO raises to $35.00 X folds Villain $35.00 X folds X folds *** FLOP *** [9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] Pot: $90 HERO bets $70.00 Villain calls $70.00 *** TURN *** [9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] [K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]Pot: $230 HERO bets $155.00 Villain calls $155.00 *** RIVER *** [9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] [9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]Pot: $540 (Eff. stacks: $685 HERO So I think he calls most turns with a naked T, and all incompleted draws. He probably raises QJ, while im not sure about KT. I feel this is a good 3barrel spot and should earn me G-$, tho I could be way off. Any thoughts? |

[/ QUOTE ] And you're trying to bluff this guy? Also, I really don't think you're gonna show a profit with 35s from that position with a station in front of you, judging from this hand. |

Re: NL1k river
Well you are obv right about not bluffing retards in general, and really, its easy to tighten up and play solid ABC and wait for the occational blowup, while hopeing he blows up against you and not the other nit-regs.
Maybe my approach is off, but I really loosen up when there is a +100bb donk at the table, in attempt to see as many flops as possible with him. This, obviously creates more variance and at times it´s just plain spew, though in relation to longrun EV I not quite sure. |

Re: NL1k river
This is bad against this type of player. If you're gonna bluff this river I think you need to bet all of it.

Re: NL1k river
This is fairly basic, but when you have a huge drooler in position on you in a situation like this, certain hands go up in value and certain hands go down in value. 35s, 67s, 79s etc go way down as you need to win at showdown a higher % of the time and FE is lower, and you're OOP. Hands such as KJ/AJ/KQ gain a lot of value because vs a player like this a top pair with them is a very strong hand and one that stands to make you a good amount of money, and is something you'll be flopping a good amount of the time.
If you have position on him, it obviously changes things, but OOP with this guy here you might want to fold certain connector hands that are a notch above what you'd normally fold, while raising certain broadway hands a notch below what you'd normally raise. That kind of adjustment is fine. |
