cardio in the morning before you eat
i'm trying to lose fat, how important is this? other than my weight lifting regiment, i've been doing a half hour of cardio with my heart rate at 165-175 3 times a week on average. is cardio before you eat THAT much better for burning fat?
thanks |

When u eat ur metabolizm just starts, inducing u to loose wieght, when u do not eat,, your body will eat ur muscle first. So eat then run |

Read this. I pretty much blindly follow some of the articles on this site, becuase imo, sometimes my time is more important that getting really anal about working out (and lets get real, there really cant be THAT much difference in the minutia we are talking about ehre). Can anyone refute this and abck it all up better than the author can? If so, lemme know. |

Re: cardio in the morning before you eat
Guids is right on. From all the lifting/cardio threads on here I think that many of you get way too worked up about the small details of the programs you're embarking on. If you want to eat a light snack before you go run or bike, great, do it. If you're like me and prefer to roll out of bed and hit the trails, fine. The important thing is that you get the work in one way or another - especially when you are just starting. Refine the program later once you become familiar with it and how your body reacts to it.

[/ QUOTE ] that's true and you're right, it really doesn't matter all that much in the end. but i stopped reading t-mag back in 1999 when they told me that andro+tribulus stacked produced greater testosterone levels than either alone and that andro wouldn't affect endogenous hormone levels at all. i was actually dumb enough to follow that advice at the time |

[/ QUOTE ] eat and then do cardio? the idea behind doing cardio before you eat is that you burn fat instead of the food you just ate as energy. i'm mainly just asking if the effect is big enough that i should bother walking ot the gym in the cold while very hungry 3 or 4 times a week instead of doing it after i work out in the late afternoon. |

Re: cardio in the morning before you eat
not a big effect.
but your heart rate is WAY too high for cardio. you're burning muscle instead of fat if you're up in that range for your entire workout. if you're in your 20's, shoot for the low-mid 130's |
