Why poker and not porn?
Could someone explain to me how our govt. could pass the UIGEA and not ban pornography? Seriously, If somebody here has a good understanding of this law please tell me what I'm missing.

Re: Why poker and not porn?
If our current Administration had its way, porn would've been gone a long time ago.

Re: Why poker and not porn?
Porn is protected by the 5th amendment. Or maybe its the 1st amendment? One of the amendments protects it.

Why ban porn?
Because it's the current administrations responsibility to make sure everybody goes to their version of heaven. |

The last thing you want to do is give them any ideas.

Re: Why poker and not porn?
There are far more people who like to look at porn occasionally than there are who like to play poker, I suspect. So trying to cut porn off would probably result in a huge uproar.

Re: Why poker and not porn?
Hello? Clinton tried to kill internet porn, it was declared unconstitutional, it's protected by the 1st amendment. It's free speech. They can however regulate it, which is why places have to have ID check stuff (being able to use a credit card was declared enough proof that you're 18).
Also, looking at porn probably wont cost you lots of mobnies. Unless you subscribe to like a million sites or something. And its not addicting, like gambling. |
