Moving up to 100NL - Things to look out for?
The last week and a half I have been playing the 50NL game on Party, 6 max as always, and after 4k hands I am at an amazing 26ptbb/100 (obviously not sustainable long term) and my bankroll is just shy of 2k, and I plan on moving up to 100nl within the next day or two. Believe me, I know I am on a heater right now, but I do believe I could crush 50nl on PP for 10-15ptbb/100 long term.
Anywho, are there any noticeable differences I should watch out for from people who have experience at both 50nl and 100nl 6 max on Party? Is the game going to be significantly more aggressive? Are there going to be more unopened pots in LP than at 50nl? I guess I could scout the game out myself (and I certainly will), but any advice from those who have made the transition would be great, thanks. |

the game is no different...personally I think the 100Nl is easier.

[/ QUOTE ] That was how I felt when I moved up to 50nl, it just seemed like tighter players who still make tons of mistakes postflop and tell you where they're at in every hand. I would have to assume there are some differences between 50nl and 100nl, even if the game is easier (or at least feels that way). The biggest difference I found between 25nl and 50nl is that people in general fold more often and less open limping. And it's very profitable to punish limpers with marginal hands in position. |

I also think NL100 is easier. I have almost 10k hands at NL100 and about 15k hands at NL50 and I have a higher PTBB/100 at NL100. The only hard thing is getting used to the money difference. 5 tabling with at least $500 in play at any given time was a big adjustment for me to make. Once you get used to that, it's no big deal.

[/ QUOTE ] Just wait until you get to the $200's OP - If your play is solid enough to beat the $50's you will make more than 1/2 the PTBB/100 at NL$100 (which means you should move up as soon as your bankroll dictates.) |

Re: Moving up to 100NL - Things to look out for?
Just be prepared to deal with more sponging and a tad more creative play; at 25 and 50, most opponents play smallish PPs for set value only, but when you step up, they'll start challenging your CBs on a low flop even when their PP is unimproved. That's basic poker -- they're likely ahead -- but you'll have to deal with it more often.
You'll deal with a little more aggression, so just prioritize position even more. You'll find this level is a piece of chocolate bundt cake. |

Seems like people are constantly coming over the top of your CB's and hands are won & lost on the flop primarily. |

there's really no difference... just make sure youre bankrolled properly. 30+ buyins if youre gonna multitable is what a lot of people are saying
