Exiting on the AC expressway I saw a billboard for.......
blackjack at Philadelphia Park racetrack. Is this actually true? It says they have 55 seats for BJ.
Can poker be far behind? |

Re: Exiting on the AC expressway I saw a billboard for.......
It's not real blackjack. Table games are not legal in PA. The "blackjack" they speak of is really just a black-jack looking front-end to a slot-machine-guts game.
http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/b...-7378017c.html There's still a long road ahead to get table games here. jb |

There are also signs advertising poker at Delaware race tracks, though I assume it is some kind of poker machines. I am curious exactly what it is though, just regular video poker or something else.

Rob [/ QUOTE ] Three card poker and maybe Let It Ride, no Hold'em yet in Delaware. Lots of competition in the area, I would expect real tables in Delaware and Philly in three years with live poker. The competition may drive Delaware to open a sportsbook as well. |

Re: Exiting on the AC expressway I saw a billboard for.......
Under existing law, Delaware is the only state that is eligible to open a sportsbook other than Nevada. That fact is often mentioned in industry articles relating to escalation of gambling competition in the Delaware Valley. It is unlikely and will definitely be the last form of gambling to come but Delaware has historically been committed to low taxes and I could see it happening if slots alone can't support Delpark and Dover Downs.
