Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($2.5, 5 players) SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks, CO checks, Button checks. Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($2.5, 5 players) SB checks, Hero bets $0.5, UTG calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds. Results: Final pot: 68 if I bet the turn normally they easily can fold if they have nothing, with donkbet(and with "nut") I hoped they will improve, and they never think I have so strong hand is my flop/turn/river play good ? and could I extract more money from this party ? |

Re: 50NL K2o from BB
Bet 1.5-1.75 flop.
Bet 75% of pot on turn, in this case like $2. Yeah, get as much as possible in on river. |

Re: 50NL K2o from BB
Bet flop, bet turn ,bet river. As played, I'd just call the river raise. Villian could have a hand better than ours. We misplayed our hand and could be beat.

I'm fine with flop check. Bet a bit more on turn. Getting all-in on river is standard IMO....get in everything you can.

Re: 50NL K2o from BB
imo you need to have bet the flop and turn. Betting on the earlier rounds not only gives you folding equity but also helps to build the pot up for the river.

[/ QUOTE ] FE? why do we want folding equity, and what better hands are we folding? I agree the flop and turn should bet bet, but not for fe |

Re: 50NL K2o from BB
I don't understand the turn bet.Are you trying to represent a flush draw? You want to be called by a flush draw - not try and represent one. All you represent with the minbet on turn is a monster or air.Bet more and they'll call with their flush draw regardless, this way you can get their stack in easier if your dream card gets there ( and it did).
I don't mind the flop play, you fold out 99% of hands that don't smoke you by leading there. Every time I try FPS I usually lose a heap of value. I think most times you would have done so in this hand too. |

Re: 50NL K2o from BB
what kind of hands will call my flop/turn bet ?
Mainly an another K will call, or raise(but AK,KQ,KJ will raise preflop perhaps) but all other hands except smaller pockets will fold to a flop bet all Axs, all JQ,QT,T9, and smaller suited connectors can fold it easily on turn I was 100% sure, that I have the strongest hand (only K4 can beat me) here I don't want to bet, I would like if any small-medium pocket gets teh full house, or any Ax,Qx,Jx hits one pair, or any club flushdraw turn into flush on river I beat all of these hands, if I bet the turn(PSB),I don't give the good chance to my opponets for improving (and if I bet the turn , call with any Ax, and river A, he will pay less than if I don't bet the turn) Or am I wrong ? (on flop betting can be good, because I have no kicker, if I need it) |

Re: 50NL K2o from BB
Flop chk is fine, but for love of god bet the turn harder.
They're going to call/raise with anything reasonable and you need to build a pot. You're usually not going to see a raise when you bet the river, and if you do, it'd be better to have a bigger pot as well. Imagine this: Turn: 2 ($2.5, 5 players) SB checks, Hero bets $2, UTG calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds. River: A ($8.5, 3 players) Hero bets $6, UTG calls, Button raises to $12, Hero pushes, UTG folds, Button calls. or...the more likely... Turn: 2 ($2.5, 5 players) SB checks, Hero bets $2, UTG calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds. River: A ($8.5, 3 players) Hero bets $6, UTG calls, Button calls (or one of them folds) Final pot -- 20-26 as opposed to Turn: 2 ($2.5, 5 players) SB checks, Hero bets $.5, UTG calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds. River: A ($4, 3 players) Hero bets $4, UTG calls, Button calls or folds Final pot 12-16 |

I put him on a flush , because with better hand( full house) he won't raise only 4$ more but there was the UTG too, he called my riverbet, I think he could have an A,and I don't know if I reraise only to 20$ on river, UTG could call too, and UTG+button calls would be bigger profit, but it's not sure, so river reraise AI would be better [/ QUOTE ] Button has shown he likes his hand a lot, so play to win his whole stack rather than to catch a bet from both players. If UTG comes along, so much the better, but it's just icing on the cake. He didn't raise when given the chance, so it's likely his hand is pretty average. If he's dumb enough to call $20 here, he'll call a push. What you really don't want is to bet $20, UTG folds and Button calls with 55 or the nut flush or w/ever, because he would have called a push whereas UTG is likely not calling anything serious I'm meh on betting the flop, but def. bet the turn more like $2 |
