Re: A234 capped preflop 2/4 limit AP

Re: A234 capped preflop 2/4 limit AP
On the flop you need at least 11:1 to take one off with nothing but a counterfeit protected backdoor draw to the nut low. That has been written (by Tex I think) maybe half a year ago and nobody contradicted, so I think it's right.
Here you have a backdoor flush draw and a backdoor straight draw to a wheel going with your backdoor low draw. So getting 9:1 should be enough to call. After the flop betting there are $72 in the pot and you contributed $8. So in effect you are getting 8:1. At your initial call on the flop you had not to expect the flop betting to be capped though. Hence I don't think that was a mistake. IMO your only error in this hand was to cap the flop betting yourself. Obviously you were thinking that it would be capped anyway. But who knows? If you simply call and the betting gets not capped your pot odds increase to more than 1:9. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes I can because I incidentally remembered that it contains the word domino. The statement I referred to is on page two but you might want to read the whole thread. It's a good one. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...part=1&vc=1 |

Re: A234 capped preflop 2/4 limit AP
This depends on how your opponents play. If the flop and turn get capped a lot, you have to fold on the flop. If you think you can see the turn/river for one bet each then you should call. In this hand, when it got 3-bet on the flop, you have to figure the turn will be expensive as well and IMO you should fold.
