pokerbob checkraises me again
Standard canterbury 30 60 game filled with mostly people who dislike the dollars.
couple limpers, pbob jacks it up in the hijack i think. I three bet J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the button, couple fish call, pbob calls. Flop 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] checked to me i bet, pbob craises. Turn 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Pbob bets, i raise, he calls. River 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Pbob c/raises me? what it do? who bets the river? now that we did do we even consider folding? |

Re: pokerbob checkraises me again
You lose to tens full or flush. He knows you have an overpair. No way he would try to blow you off it.

Re: pokerbob checkraises me again
I don't really know how pokerbob plays but under most circumstances i'd fold here. the player would have to be very deep thinking for me to make a call here.

Re: pokerbob checkraises me again
Poker Bob sais that this hand was heads up on the flop which definately changes things. In a multiway pot I would think he would bet into you with TT but heads up he may check-raise. I think a flush is possible if he considers you to be the type to never miss a value bet and will pay off the raise. Most players would just bet the river when the flush hit.
I agree with the others that you have defined your hand to Poker Bob very well and he can't possibly think you will fold too his check-raise. As always this would all depend on your history with each other. I would have checked the river. You can certainly consider folding here. I would have to be there to give you a definative answer. |

[/ QUOTE ] yea, thats productive... i honestly think this is a fold against the vast majority of live players, tags and fish a like. i don't know the person in question so i don't know what its supposed to lead me to conclude, but unless pbob has a serious history of check raise bluffing despite you defining your hand so well, its a definite fold imo. i probably still call half the time though, because [censored] it its the river and one bet and i have an overpair. not folding to river check raises is a life long leak of mine, probably not the worst to leak to have though. |

Re: pokerbob checkraises me again
First I'd giggle because a river c/r always makes me do that then I'd toss in $60 and cry when he shows his flush

Re: pokerbob checkraises me again
there's something I don't like about the hand and really can't put my finger on it.
Edit - I'm inclined to call turn. |
