100NL - two barrelling training?
Hello, this is my first post on the SSNL board, I hope it's not too boring.
Villain is 30/3.5/2 over 50 hands. Hero is running at some 19/18/4 or close to it. Ongame NoLimit Hold'em BB($1) BB: $134.65 UTG: $69.60 Button: $48.55 Hero: $110.70 Preflop: Hero is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 Players) UTG folds, Button folds, Hero raises to $3.5, BB calls $3.0 Flop: ($8.0) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets $5.0, BB calls $5.0 Turn: ($18.0) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero bets $13.0, BB calls $13.0 River: ($44.0) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero checks, BB bets $25.0, Hero folds. So is this OK? On the turn i thought it'd be better to semi bluff since my draw is less valuable due to the pair on the board and of course due to me being OOP. Is c/r'ing the turn imaginable? |

I don't like it in this spot if he calls flop the 5 diamonds isn't going to make a difference for him calling on this turn. And second I don't like it against villains with 30/3.5/2 stats. I prefer doing it against more competent players that can lay down a hand.

I think itīs fine, I would have made the flop and turn bet a bit larger though. C/r I think is not a good idea, you would put too much money in the pot and have no clue where you stand.

check the CR tutorial video on their web - "Now I missed my draw and the only chance to take the pot down is to bet again so I fire the 3rd barrel as well"

Re: 100NL - two barrelling training?
There's nothing to like/not like about this hand IMO, we pick up a gutshot on turn and we will be wanting to see the river anyway so might as well make a bet ourselves and maybe he folds instead of checking and hoping he doesn't monkey-pot it.
Bet a little more on flop and turn tho. Timing tells (like instacall) helps a lot when deciding to fire 2nd barrel. Kinda [censored] that we have 7 high tho, since with the A high flushdraw you end up valuebetting your ace high vs his crablar draw at times |

Decent board to 3 barrel, as villain probably will float this flop a lot and then fold, or he will fold his PP putting you on a higher one or a jack.
