changing registered windows user
When I set up my new laptop, I inadvertently put in my actual name in the microsoft registration window. Usually I just put in a random name. Is there a way to change this now without doing a complete reinstall?

This is about as sketchy as questions get in CTH....
Let's hope they don't catch you and make your programs start executing illegal operations... |

This is about as sketchy as questions get in CTH.. [/ QUOTE ] What's sketchy about anonymity? Is the name your computer is registered not viewable by other parties when you utilize websites? If I log onto an unsecure wifi network, can't some of my files(like the ones named xxxxx's cookies/settings/etc, possibly be seen by someone? I'm only asking because I prefer to have as little out there associated with my name as possible for security reasons. Is this a non-issue? |

Re: changing registered windows user
Yes, it is a non-issue. The registration name is stored in one location in the registry and thats it.
