($1050) EPT qualifier call possible resteal from SB w/ AT?
I have played quite tight throughout most of the 100 or so hands I've played with this guy. He's been around 15/10. I've been a bit tighter probably. I had folded the SB to him a few times. However, last orbit I open shoved 62o from the SB for 10x BB and doubled up when he called w/ A5o. He used his time bank to call that one. On this hand, he thought a bit before he shoved, but not quite until the time warning. He didn't instantly shove or anything though. That made me think he had a stronger hand if anything. Notice BB is pretty short so he's not a threat to SB.

gotta call here. 41.1883% equity is breakeven here, and against a basically worst case scenario of 22+,a9+,kq we have 41.6%.

[/ QUOTE ] you are so wrong and mind boggling bad in assuming that range. i'll throw in that a call here is opp dependent. vs some players it would be a crime to fold, vs others you are basically burning $. in a sattelite vs a random after a pause i fold though and give htem credit for at least AJ+77+ |

I don't think the question is if he has a better hand than you, but if he makes this play enough times with worse hands.
I'm not so sure, and I'm not even close to a HS player, and this is about the 2nd time I've ever posted in this forum, but I figured I'd put in my thought here. I fold. |

I have a hard time believing that most people are not going to shove 44/A9/KQ here vs a button raiser with <20bbs |

Re: ($1050) EPT qualifier call possible resteal from SB w/ AT?
the key is satellite, which i think djk is missing. ppl, even 2p2ers, are significantly less inclined to pull moves than normal in satellites, because everyone assigns tighter ranges to everyone. as such a call range should be tighter.
stealthmunk is right. that said, if i see the SB doing anything out of the ordinary, i would be inclined to snapcall. against an unknown i think a call is suidice, as it is usually a better ace or a medium to biggish pair. |

How many players remaining for how many seats? It is impossible to answer without knowing that.

Didn't read other responses yet, but basically if I double through someone by shoving 62o, I'm gonna treat my ATo like they were AA next time I raise him.

Stealth/Clayton are right here about the much tighter ranges/less moves in satellites. It's a fold unless BB is habitual move maker.
