Question - on this turn, with these stack sizes, and a non-made hand, is it better to check the turn HU and see what comes on the river, folding only to a counterfeited low that does not make aces up, and calling any other all-in bet assuming 2nd nut low should be good? Based on the stack size, I don't think there's any fold equity on the turn, but what cards could we possibly fold to on the river?

Push..... You can't be considering folding getting 1800+765):765 or 3.35:1 pot odds if he calls.
You want to take it down, NOW. It's H2H, what are you worried about it's only 10% of your stack. |

you're not folding the river no matter what comes. Pushing is fine....I guess checking could be ok as long as you call if he bets on the river.

Thanks. As played, I checked, and the awful black four came on the river, which meant that I was now behind on the low to any A3, A5, 35, and that I had the bottom two for high on a board that had a crapload of possible straights. Gack.
Should have put it in on the turn so I wouldn't have to make a puke decision. |
