very bad.
your pf minraise is BAAAD. Make a real raise. Another 4.5 dollars should be a call pf. If he pushes, that should be cause for thought. |

if someone minraises in front of you, raise it up more than 4Xbb.

no there was a limp and a min raise. you need to make it at least 2.5 to 3 to go in this spot. your raise wasnt a technical min raise but it was close enough. raising 4xBB is when you open the pot. if pot has been limped go 4xBB + 1 for each limper and if you raise a raise make it high enough to make it hard for him to call. lewts do some math here.
.10 .25 .25 .50 now you make it 1$ to go villain has to call .50 into a 2.10 pot so you are giving him 4.2:1 to call...... you figure out if your raise was good or not |

In my first post, I said that I'd call the 4.5
However, I just realized that the guy raising to 5.5 is a short stack. I might just put him in there and hope that the BB tags along with a worse hand. |

no calling doesnt have any +EV here. you have the third best starting hand possible. we do not put nearly enough pressure on an ak preflop and you most likely have the bet hand. if we make a normal raise we give ourselves a chance to fold and be correct more times then not. if we just call the min raise we will have no idea where we are at on the flop because villains hand range is extremely large at this point
calling at these limits esp with big pairs for the most part will have -EV |
