Yup. Looks good. I'm learning the game as well and am always hesitant to raise strong hands OOP and have to play them post flop. I get over this by reminding myself that I can always check fold ugly flops. It also makes it easy to get all in on favorable flops like this.

Re: $ 25: AAQQ ds OOP against ratholers
at your stakes your play is fine... however i really really dont like re-raising aces, especially if your the type of player that would only, or more then 95% of the times when u re-raise from this position you have only aces. The trick to poker is subterfuge, and when you do this esepecially out of position it makes your hand far far to easy to read. Me personally, especially when im in position, and assuming your raise is less then 30% of your stack i will call u with any non-trip hand, and occasionally with the trips as well when you re-raise and are the type of player that will only do it with aces since my play post flop will be relativly easy..Aces in general my have a pre-flop advantage, but they have a massive playing disadvantage for most players, especially when the oppostion knows u have aces!!!
However the fact that your hand is SOOO strong combined with the fact that your playing at low stakes your move is fine and your bet on flop is standered, just be very carfully when you re-rasie aces against good tricky players, theres nothing worse then letting a good aggresive player know exactly what you have, especially out of position, it spells a world of trouble. |
