Default IS TheTakeover (Nick Schulman) the real deal????

I know him from the city and played with him enough but haven't seen him play lately in live games. I remember when he used to crush the game in the city and just wondering if he's still on that same tear. Anyone seen him lately. I spoke to him not too long ago and he was down in AC but didn't get into how he was playing. Anyone seen him????

I played him hundreds of hours live in NYC last year before his win. I would rate him as one of the top 4 LIVE players in NYC that I have played against. I think he has great emotional control and is very quiet/observant at the table. He is also quite thoughtful about his play, always taking extra long time to make decisions. He is slightly overaggro for full ring IMHO, especially in position, but that's to be expected. I would be curious to see who you think is a better LIVE NL player in nyc. Did you play at bway 10/25?

Nah I played at AcePoint, Genoa and AICC but mostly AcePoint. We played a lot there together in the 5/5, 5/10 games. Yeah he was a great cash game player in those games. Very Laggy but could ruin your stack at any given time and never backed down if he felt he could get you off a hand.

Does Rory go to stanford? And also, do u know me from genoa? Also, if you think Nick is best live in nyc you haven't played with persian steve or anthony, who are both stronger, IMHO.

Actually I can't name a better player one kid about 19ish now might actually be a better player (btw im also 19) his name is Rory W. He played at Players Club, AICC, and Acepoint. Breakdowning hands wise I think this kid Rory might have been better. I mean the kid always, ALWAYS knew where he was at every given time. But still I gotta think Schulman is still the best player out of NYC.

Rory is a lag. His style of play would get him chewed up and spit out by a table full of good opponents. But against the types of opponents he is playing at on a day to day basis he comes across as a brilliant player. In other words within his surroundings he is great, but he doesn't have what it takes to play in a really tough game... he would go busto over a few sessions if he didn't adapt.

PS: I like the kid, he is a nice guy, and a good player to have at the table because he stimulates action.

I think you are actually wrong on each level here. He is a Laggy player and I think he adjusts pretty damn well to each environment.
