Ok I just got banned for "Googletarding"

And my thread got deleted. Unfortunately I don't live on the computer so I don't know what Googletarding means. I looked in NT's rule thing and it says "Anything which you are too lazy or stupid to figure out yourself, or anything which will not generate interesting discussion."

Something to that effect anyways.

The story is I was driving northbound on the NJ TP at 9/14/2007 at around 3 AM. I saw a TON of police cars come flying on my side and taking exits and coming across medians only to find that southbound there were like 10-15 cop cars just sitting around a car on the median(Read: Bits of flame were shooting across to the Northbound side) and they were letting NOBODY through. Traffic was backed up quite a bit and I did see a fire truck come rushing up.(Hooked to what I don't know)

Anyways, I couldn't find any more information(honestly I felt sick watching that car burn and really wanted to hear nobody died) and I searched all over Google news and Google(I stated this in my post) and found nothing. I made a post asking if anyone in the NJ area at the time saw this or knew what happened or was able to find a news article.

I searched again this morning and still couldn't find anything. This banning was ridiculous.

And honestly, less of a complaint to NT who is obviously a terrible moderator, but who is appointing these people as mods? I'm not going to name others but especially outside of the strategy section there are a TON of ultra-scummy moderators who are constantly condescending to new posters etc. etc. etc.

I play live a lot and I'll talk to people who are obviously winning players. I ask if they post on 2p2 and soooo many people say something like "I used to read there but everyone is just such a ___ I don't even bother anymore."

Probably once a month I run in to someone in the casino who says this.

so how exactly was your post designed to generate interesting discussion?

don't complain about getting banned when you read the rules AFTER making the offending post. there is plenty of warning in the sticky about what happens when you break the rules.

i have explained this many times, but i will explain it agian. "i couldn't find it in google" does NOT mean "let me post it in OOT, they'll know the answer!"

except you weren't giving a trip report, or soliciting similar stories, or making a post about how you felt and what you thought. you were looking for information that only a very select few people might have, and that would not interest much of anyone else. the average OOT reader does not want to sort through 20 threads of people asking 'hey, anyone know what happened to that carjacker in san diego?' or 'did anyone die when that bus rolled over in paducah?' if every person in OOT posted about every car crash they passed on the way home, it would be retarded.

don't 'honestly man' me, if you had one drop of common sense you would see why this type of post is not welcome in the forum and you wouldn't be complaining here as if you actually had a case. it IS in the rules, i don't need to spell out every possible application because you didn't bother to read them anyway. don't tell me to put things in the rules when the only time you are going to read them is after you get banned for making a crap post.

why do you think there are posts just about everyday about how much NT! sucks and mostly everyone dislikes him?
i'm not saying i dislike NT! but i do believe that he is a questionable mod sometimes.

so tell me NT!, what is it about my thread that could be defined as "googletarding?" and therefore deserve a ban?
