Default Live 25/50 4-handed

Some of you may remember me as "johnclay" on ub. I played mainly 50/100 NLHE and PLO.

Anyway, I'd given up playing poker last year, but after playing some 100/200 NLHE in Vegas on vacation last month, found myself in a live 25/50 game this weekend, and was kinda playing on autopilot.

What do you think of this?

Four handed, my image is that of "good loose-aggressive player who's not afraid to make a move, but who also pays off too much with non-nut hands".

Preflop

UTG folds, good player (7300 deep, I cover) limps 50 from button, SB completes.

I make it 200 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in BB, button calls, SB folds.

Flop

Flop comes Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (pot=450).

I check, button bets 200, I raise to 700, button calls.

Turn

Turn is 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (pot=1850).

I check, button bets 800, what line do I take here? (Button has 5500 left)

As played, I'd check/call, then c/c non scary river and reconsider if scare card hits.

I prefer leading out turn though

1600 on turn shove most rivers, as played I'd C/R to 2300 and shove almost all rivers.

I like making a pretty lareg c/r on the turn because this line looks like a draw to a thinking opponent I'd think and he may decide to get it in light.

I think pf is a bad hand to try to attack him oop with, and not a good spot to CR the flop IMO.

Having got there I would have bet the turn.

How does villain ever call with a hand that is behind even on the turn? I think shoving is a pretty bad idea unless you boat up. I just cant see villain calling with TPTK even to that turn bet

i don't understand the flop check-raise at all. i think this is the last sort of hand you want to be check-raising, unless you have the craziest of images, which doesn't seem to be the case.

i actually kind of love a passive line here, like check-call flop and then play it by street, probably also check-calling turn and then depends on what the river brings, adjust your action accordingly. you have to mix it up with passive lines with strong hands, and i think this is a good time to do it since people don't like to get too crazy on monotone flops and if you get the money in, you're not going to be in very good shape.
