Allin players cards get mucked
An interesting hand took place at my local casino last week. We were down to 5 and ON THE BUBBLE(!!!) and a guy pushes allin over the top of the pre flop raiser. The PFR is deliberating calling but the allin player thinks that he's folded and throws his cards towards the muck (but they are not actually lost in the muck). The floor rules that the PFR gets to double up off the allin player even though he hadnt actually called the allin, leaving allin guy with 300 chips! Needless to say, he wasnt very impressed and busted soon after. Such a sick way to bust on the bubble as he had quite a decent stack!
Is this ruling standard? |

Re: Allin players cards get mucked
All-in player == clueless
Floor == clueless Wouldn't it be nice to have some posts like "PlayerA paid close attention to the action and acted so that there would be no need to call the Floor ....." |

Re: Allin players cards get mucked
Wow, that's ridiculous. Rules clearly state that if a player's cards are identifiable, the spirit of the game is to be honored.

[/ QUOTE ] Funny, but that's like asking for the news to report, "at the intersection of Main and High St, nobody did anything notable to anybody and everyone went among their business as normal". Obviously a vast majority of hands fit your description. We only post the out-of-ordinary. |

Re: Allin players cards get mucked
**hijack**
At my local cardroom. On the third hand or so of a final table a player goes all in. The dealer though takes his cards and puts them in the muck thinking he was folding (all in sits in one seat). The floor is called is it is ruled (not incorrectly) that the raise stands and that his hand is dead. Everyone folds to the BB who says, "sorry, i need the money" and raises winning the hand. Raiser is eliminated. Ill way to lose a final table. |

Re: Allin players cards get mucked
thats got to be one of the worst floor calls ever.
So the guy "intended" to call but never did it. The guys cards were technically mucked, but not in them , so they were retrivable. I suggest never going back |
