Maybe a sports forum thread but if the 20 downs in the NFL thread works.
Anyway, how much would someone have to pay you so that you would never see another sport again? You couldn't watch them on tv could go to games couldn't read box scores couldn't read opinion columns. Sports would be cut out of your life completely. How much? |

$10M at least. This would be far worse than poker.
Sex > Family > Sports > Everything else. |

$10M at least. [/ QUOTE ] This just seems absurd. I'm a huge NFL, college football and college basketball fan and love watching games and highlights and stuff, but I'm pretty sure I'd part with them for like $100k. I could entertain myself in plenty of other ways with that money. |

I don't see any point in having lots of money anyway, if you're not allowed to spend it on the things that matter to you. |

I don't think I'd ever be able to give it up, no matter the price. And if I did, it would be absurdly high, like at least 50 million and even then I'm not sure, and I'm being 100% serious.

[/ QUOTE ] People do it everyday, they give up their happiness, sanity, and freedom for the love of money. The only sport i really enjoy watching a lot these days is football. So I'd say about $100,000 would fit the bill |

I'm not sure how much for me...it would definitely have to be enough that I could party it up all day long and have fun without sports- kinda live like Vince in Entourage. A million wouldn't be enough...I'd buy a nice house and furnish it and a nice car and put some in savings, but I wouldn't have enough left over to live like a rock star, and then life would suck without sports. I'd say $3 million then I guess. |

Is running and going to work out in the gym considered a sport? If so, then no amount of money because health > $$$$. If not, then the toughest part would be forgoing Super Bowl parties and kid's sports. Probably $3 million now and even less once my kids grow up.
