Wasn't there a post a while back about this very same thing? Having the scammer kiss a fish or something like that? Pretty funny stuff.

Have him send the check to the IRS.

Name on check Irwin R Schister (or whatever the wrestlers name was)

Choose an address from here,

http://www.irs.gov/localcontacts/article/0,,id=98337,00.html

I ahve done the same before with one of these scammers, in the hope the IRS will not be best pleased at them wasting their time.

I love F*cking with these guys! Here's what you do:

1. First of all don't give him your phone #. Tell him you are in the process of moving and your new number won't be available until next week. You can't give him your work number "they totally frown on personal calls". So tell him the best way is to contact by email.

2. Tell him that someone else is very interested in the item and that you need him to "overnight" a check to your office (you are moving... can't get mail). Give him a fake name and use the address of a big company (with many employees) near by. Explain that your office will not accept C.O.D.'s so you will deduct the "overnight" charge from the deposit. Tell him you will then "western union" the difference back to him and keep the deposit until his "agent" comes to inspect the merchandise, now stored in a "quick storage place". Tell him "if you can trust me, I will Western Union the diff. right after I deposit the check, but I need the check by tomorrow because a guy is coming to look at it on Sat."

3. If he agrees and overnights you the check, email him back on Sat and say: "hey I never got your check, I think there was a mix-up in reception. Well the guy came by and wanted to offer me less. I told him I will let him know on Tues because I knew somebody who will give me full price. Go ahead and cancel the check and overnight me another check by Monday, I told reception about it so there shouldn't be any problems this time. I will deposit the check and Western Union you or your agent the difference. Email me the tracking data once you send it so I can look for it."

4. Obviously the check is worthless. If he's desperate enough he will do it thus costing himself about $30 in overnight delivery fees and other hassles. Ha Ha you got em!

To cut it off... just email him back and say... "I never got the check so I just sold it to the other guy, sorry!"

Here is my standard response email. Feel free to copy and use it. Once they respond with interest - you get them to take photos holding stupid signs saying whatever you choose.

Dear XXXXXX,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, I will not be able to help you at this time. I appreciate your situation and perhaps can assist in another manner. Before we proceed, let me introduce myself and tell you about my company. You may already have this information but I shall repeat it to you just in case not:

My name is Sklansky Mason and I am the manager of advertising at Eight plus Four publishing. We are publishers of great literature all over the world and we supply photographs to many business and private customers. We also offer scholarship donations to aid up and coming new models who may otherwise not have the financial means to be able to produce or improve their work. Our scholarship payments range from between $12,000 and $75,000 depending on the artistic potential of the model.

The way our programme works is that we seek out new or up and coming models all over the world who may not otherwise be financially able to promote or sell their images and then we help them to realise their full potential. We aid them by presenting them with a scholarship payment ranging from $12,000 to $750,000 which again is entirely dependent on their potential, but the minimum payment we award any model willing to supply work for us is $12,000. Presently we are seeking models who specialise in corporate advertising.

Please note that we are not looking for models that already have professional modeling contracts. If you require a donations/scholarship payment then you need to submit a new model to us. You may submit more than one model at a time and we will review each model individually.

HOW OUR DONATION/SCHOLARSHIP PROCEDURE WORKS:

1. Before we could make any kind of monetary payment to any model we would of course require proof of your photoworthyness. We do not ask models to send in prepared samples of their work because of course there is no way for our foundation to know if the photo is indeed the models own work, therefore we would require you to provide a brand new photographs for us to evaluate your images.

2. My company will submit to you (by email attachment) upto 3 advertising logos. This may be of our company logo, a product, or other such item. You would then be required to take a photograph with your model and the logos we send to you. One photograph is required for each logo and each model you wish to submit. Once your have completed the work it is to be sent to us for evaluation and then a donation amount would be awarded according to your skill or potential. Our donation payments range from between a minimum of $12,000 up to $75,000.

3. On receipt of a satisfactory photographs of a model my four BBV board members will then gauge the quality and therefore the size of the donation/scholarship amount to send to you. The payment is sent by whatever means suits you best and is made within 24 hours of receiving your work.

IMPORTANT: A professional protographer is NOT required to take these photographs. HOWEVER, the photos must be clear , have good detail of your models features, and clearly contain the corporate logos we send. If you recieve 2 logos, there should be two pictures of each model you wish to submit, each picture containing a different logo.

Please note that no payments whatsoever can be given in advance of receiving the photographs. It is very important that you understand this completely. I hope that is clear to you, and if you are in agreement to the terms above please let me know as soon as possible and I will arrange for sample logos to be sent to you by email attachment.

Kind regards,

Skalansky Mason
Advertising Manager, Eight plus Four publishing
