bagles with a nice spread... cream cheese, lox, lettuce, tuna, the whole nine, with a buncha drinks... 5.5/10 -- only because it sucks being jewish on christmas

I guess i'd rate it about a 6/10. No guac and the meat was just ok or would rate higher. |

I had a special lunch today.
Two very old friends from Australia who are in their late sixties have come to visit me. They arrived yesterday, today I made them lunch. We had veal scalopine in a white wine sauce, a green salad with onion tossed with 20 year old balsamic and virgin olive oil from my friends farm, and we finished the meal with a huge hunk of grana cheese. The wine was an excellent spumante from Trentino, vintage 2001. Oh, and it was raining and we had the fire going. Just excellent. You can all carry on now. |
