Re: Basic 5-10 NL Question: Small Pairs
Depends on the game.
Against good opponents (ie aggressive PF and can fold postflop) fold almost always, and raise occasionally. Against poor opponents (ie passive pre and postflop) you can setmine. |

If UTG limps, do I limp in second position with 22?

Re: Basic 5-10 NL Question: Small Pairs
btw, my response was meant for full-ring. In 6-max I play every pair, and raise every hand I open with.
If the first guy limps, limping behind is standard. In B&M 5/10 I would never fold a pocket pair in an unraised pot, since players are so bad and stacks are usually deeper. |

its fine to limp 22-66 type stuff, but throw in some limp reraises just for fun to mess with ppl.

Re: Basic 5-10 NL Question: Small Pairs
I've been a pro for 7 years, so I appreciate your candor. But this is the best game for me now. I'm about even in it after 20 sessions despite running pretty salty. It's a very very good game. I just need to figure out how to play NL against very mediocre opponents (some of whom are rich).
