Default ***Official Super Bowl Thread: Bears v. Colts***

Bear down, Chicago Bears, make every play clear the way to victory;
Bear down, Chicago Bears, put up a fight with a might so fearlessly.
We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T-formation.
Bear down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you're wearing the crown.
You're the pride and joy of Illinois, Chicago Bears, bear down.

they are not the pride and joy of the Illinois I know.
The Illinois I know wishes Chicago wasn't a part of the state.

they actually have a pretty good foothold in St. Louis as well

As for the city itself, I've always argued that Chicago is a Bears town more than any other team. The Cubs may have more national appeal, but the Chicagoland area is the Bears first and foremost.

I'm also from Chicago, and anyone who would argue against this point is a complete fool. I was still there during the Bulls run and basketball is my favorite sport to play, grew up a White Sox fax (not so much into baseball anymore) and obviously remember the '85 super bowl run.

The Bears EASILY dominate the fan base and their success trumps anything the Bulls, Cubs, Sox can pull together combined for general interest.

People of all shapes, sizes, ages & color can all gear up for a 3 1/2 game once per week. Not the case necessarily with a best of 7 series.

Go Bears!
