underhouses = the devil?
Ive dropped at least 3 buyins at 1-2 in the last 12 hours on underhouses, eg:
hole cards: 88JT flop: QQ8 im asking; how many of you fold these, and when? He Who Shall Not Be Named discusses at length how hard it is to be long term profitable off these, as usually if youre getting real action on the turn, youre pretty much drawing dead to a case card at best, and i feel like im starting to get what hes talking about.. |

Re: underhouses = the devil?
try to keep pots small unless you're involved with a live one.

Re: underhouses = the devil?
I either try to get it check raised all in on the flop or keep the pot really small.

Re: underhouses = the devil?
yeah i think thats good advice, thanks to the both of you. if i start seeing things spiral out of control on the turn, ill dump pending a strong read and/or suspect they are overplaying an overpair (ive seen it done, aces are a hell of a drug).

Re: underhouses = the devil?
grizy when you say "really small" does this mean sometime not even bet the flop?

Re: underhouses = the devil?
yes, sometimes I won't even bet it especially if my position is bad.

Re: underhouses = the devil?
in general: play it fast as long as your opponent keeps his feet on the brake, when he changes his mind, fold as fast as possible. unless he is a very good player and the stacks are deep(200BBplus)
