Ribose yes or no?
I already take a lot of supplements. I've been debating adding Ribose to the mix but I keep getting conflicting options.
I do an hour of weights + 1/2 hour of cardio everyday. On Monday I plan to increase the cardio to an hour and then on Nov 1 to 1.5 hours of cardio. I normally just take whatever the guy at the local supplement shop tells me to take but I figured I'd get a second opinion since he already has me taking so much that I'm not sure it is all needed or even healthy. |

Re: Ribose yes or no?
Getting all your advice from the GNC Salesman is almost always a bad idea.
What else are you taking? I never heard of supplementing with ribose until this post, so immediatly I would assume its less then necessary. |

Are you cutting? |

Re: Ribose yes or no?
Morning: Protein shake + Glutamine + Taurine + Greens+
Multivitamin + Calcium + CQ10 Pre-Workout: CEM N.O.-Xplode Post-Workout: Myogenix Hyper Shock wait 30 minutes then protein shake + Glutamine + Taurine Afternoon: Milk Thistle, Ginseng, Chromium, E, C Before Bed: ZMA + C + E + Milk Thistle + Protein + Glutamine + Taurine. I also take CLA with every meal. I use to take Zeus Test Booster as well but I've decided to cut that out and save it for when I'm off the creatine. ------------------ I don't really know what I am doing. I got much bigger then I wanted. I was going for built and well defined not bulk. I figured if I added enough cardio I could fix that. |

Re: Ribose yes or no?
90 minutes of cardio is about what marathoners average every day.

Re: Ribose yes or no?
It would be in 3 30 minute sessions not all at once if that makes any difference.

Re: Ribose yes or no?
i don't have a ton of practical knowledge, like from a nutritionist perspective, but your body has an entire pathway dedicated to making ribose related stuff from glucose. the odds of taking ribose actually doing anything at all are pretty slim.
then again, from my knowledge, it doesn't really seem like glutamine would do much of anything either. |
