how much are you prepared to call preflop with small connectors? how does this vary with suitedness? position? number of players in the pot? effective stacks? type of player?
I'm really talking about calling someone else's raise to hit a flop and break them, being the raiser is a different matter. |

Wow, this is such an open ended question. There are rules for playing small pairs but I don't think theres a rule for SC.

I'll play suited connectors or 1 gap connectors against a modest size raise with someone with a high aggr and a large stack.
I never limp with them |

suited connectors I like is 98 down to 56, and J10 and 109. If its lower than 56, muck it, it just doesnt pay to play it, per skalansky... It also depends on your position you want to play these usually unraised pot and middle to late position, for usually 3-5BB but no more unless you are getting 3=4+ players in the pot with ya.

Yeah, I agree. Those pesky QJs, KQs and AKs I usually dump. Maybe call if it's minraise, but proceed with extreme caution if I dont hit two pair or better

OK let's take 78s. A larger stack raises(3.5BB), you both have 100BB+. You're obviously going to call this in position, but what about OOP, say he's LP and you're in SB?
What about 78o? Would you play it the same way? How about 45o? When do you like to see flops with these hands and what does it depend on? Or do you play it everytime against a standard raise coming from a decent stack? I'm just looking for some general guidelines and discussion here |
