HOLY [censored]! LOL first amendaments. [/ QUOTE ]That's not a first amendment violation. There are a range of laws this guy could be argued to have violated. Disorderly conduct and trespassing are a couple of them. He was warned repeatedly about the rules of this meeting, and he blatantly broke them repeatedly- including refusing to give someone else's microphone back. Then he resisted arrest, and continued trying to disrupt the event. That said, the use of a taser is in my opinion unwarranted. People with conditions can and do die from tasers. And it would have been illegal for John Kerry to try to interfere in an arrest. |

In the age of youtube, cell phone cameras, etc how long until these incidents create some sort of critical mass of hatred towards the police?
Just from the sheer number of law enforcement officers there are bound to be a few that act like idiots and those will all end up on the internet for public consumption. |

my new, all time favorite line from anything, movie, music, or quote... "Don't taser me, bro!" [/ QUOTE ] It's hilarious and sad at the same time. This generation's "et tu Brute?" is "don't taser me bro!" As for excessive force, meh, this incident is tame as hell compared to other caught-on-tape situations. Though, on a drunken bet I did let my brother shoot me with his taser and I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone. |

Kid deserved the heavy-handed escort out. He was being a tool. He was told to go, resisted, then resisted being forced to move by the police (no rent-a-cops), then made motions that could clearly be interpreted as threatening towards the speaker.
Kid did not deserve the taser. He was pinned to the ground by the big black cop. The taser here was used as a means to quickly subdue him to get him out of the theatre hall as quickly as possible. He posed no threat with two knees in his back. His ranting and raving about what did he do to get arrested is the normal reaction that "his kind" make. From an outside perspective the arrest was warranted. What led up to the arrest could have been avoided if he was a sensible human being. |
