Alfonso Cuaron has not just made the best film of the year, he's made, at worst, the second-best film of the past ten years. (City of God is probably better, but I'm not completely sure.)

Not seen Eternal Sunshine?

Also i have heard this movie is great from others so i will see it. I heard that it was the best shot movie in a long time as well.

I've seen Eternal Sunshine. Great movie. Not nearly as good as City of God, though.

wtf this movie is in like 4 theatres yet night at the museam can be seen in calcutta. i hate how stupid and easily entertained my fellow man is.

I think my tastes have slowly changed after watching so many films. 5-10 years ago I probably would have said this too but now ES's script and characters beat out COM's great visuals,setting, and action sequences. I never really cared about for the characters and their plight in COM...felt almost strangly disconected from them.

I agree that City of God is one of the best films of the last ten years, I don't really know enough to call it THE best, though.
