Not standard, not uncommon. I'd say around 5-7% of the students at SDSU use laptops in class.

I can say that almost any time Im in class with my laptop im on 2+2 or digg and not listening |

I think like 95% of law students use laptops. I had one professor last year who didn't allow them because he thinks they are a distraction. He is right.
