2/4 NL - I feel like giving up with Aces HU
2/4 FR
I have $512, Villain covers. Notes on him say he triple-barrels his draws and will float with just overs in raised pots, but never been in a 3-bet sitch with him before. I can't see raising river being all that smart. UTG limps, 3 folds, Villain raises to $12, Hero raises to $40 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4 folds, Villain calls $28. Flop K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain checks, Hero checks Turn T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain checks, Hero bets $60, Villain calls. River 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain bets $32, Hero calls. Anyone check behind turn and call any river? |

Looks to me like you missed a lot of value.
Bet the flop. As played you need to raise river IMO. |

Re: 2/4 NL - I feel like giving up with Aces HU
This is way over my limit, but I think you need to bet the flop. I'm not sure about the river... I've thought about this for 5 minutes and can't decide. If we're called I can't say how often we're good here, and if we're reraised we're gonna feel awful. As weak and dirty as it makes me feel, I think I just call that river.

Raise more preflop, 48 is good.
I dont mind the flop check given you have the Ac. Turn bet is standard. As for the river I think you can make a smallish raise to get some value as his bet looks like a blocker with QQ/JJ. Fold to a shove of course |

Re: 2/4 NL - I feel like giving up with Aces HU
I'd bet the flop, then check most turns if called on the flop rather than check the flop and bet the turn.
After that, I think betting the turn and calling the river is good. It is likely that villain has a 1-pair hand lower than aces but higher than 7s. So, a raise for value on the river might get a call from those 1-pair hands if villain puts you on Ks and 7s with an A-kicker (i.e. AQ or AJs, for example). But I'd usually call to avoid facing a big reraise or push to which I'd probably have to fold. |

wow, bet bet bet
you said he peels a lot yet you didn't bet the flop, sounds like a pretty big mistake to me. |
