Re: bluff
hella standard. i was thinking about whether this is more +EV than checking behind, but i think it clearly is.
maybe if the turn was a lower heart instead, i'd prefer a checkbehind, but I think you need to get him off an ace much of the time here to win it, and you should have no problem doing that with a shove. |

Re: bluff
so evil.
do you still push if he bets $71.99 on river, leaving about $200 behind? |

Re: bluff
Hm
When you call the turn, how often do you have a flush draw there? Ever? Isn't this also a good turn for the flop bettor to be betting a draw, since there's a good chance you have a weak K/mid pp/flush draw and he can use the added power of the A to get it off? I'm not convinced that you're up against an A here at all, and I think checking through has a ton more +ev. The only hand that you could legitimately is the A high nfd turned top pair rivered flush, and I think you can be expected to put more action in on the flop with that hand, anyway. I think you'll get looked up more out of confusion with an A, and when you don't get looked up I think you were ahead anyway. Edit: Thinking more, I think the most likely holding is another K, in which case, I think a regular PSB or 3/4 pot bet should work fine. I don't think you need an "extra" support in this specific hand to push a K out. |
