Hadn't seen villian before, i had just sat down. So complete unknown.

i think the bet is too big and i think c/call is a better default but there is nothing wrong with a bet, depends on your image and such

im more in the 195-235 camp though

what do you think he is going to call you with...it really looks like his flop raise was designed to see a free river with diamonds...best way to make money here is a c/c for sure

given how thin people raise and bet the river these days, it seems like this guy has T8-AT a good amount here, and i dont think he wants to fold. i think our hand is rarely beat here, and even if he does have a draw or bluff i think that raising is better because it tells him we are going to be raising a lot and makes us harder to play.

I think betting is fairly clearly better. An unknown is pretty likely to check down some worse T hands (maybe not on FTP or Stars, but from what I hear Crypto is pretty nitty), and also less likely to play T9 like this and not get away.
This line does not look like a bluff at all IMO, so if he is good he should get away a lot when beat.
Against a good regular I think checking has a lot more merit, basically because betting loses value and because he is more likely to valuebet for you.

I'd reraise flop here pretty often BTW.
