Default Best Father/Son Poker Players

I originally posted this in NVG, but messed up the poll and just decided to put it here instead.

Tonight, the WPT is filming a special to air on the Travel Channel on Father's Day that will feature 6 father/son teams playing in a tag team format. The father/son combination left will play headsup for a WPT Championship seat.

The 6 teams are:

Doyle and Todd Brunson
Barry Greenstein and Joe Sebok
Barry and Jeff Shulman
John and Steve Stolzmann
Michael and Romeo Simon
Dick and Vince Van Patten

Just when you think you're safe from hearing VVP, the PPT's Matt Corboy will be assuming his seat in the booth.

Which leads to:

I agree it's a two team race at best, but figured why not.

Yeah I guess Greenstein/Sebok might get some votes.

Those 6 listed in the poll will be playing tonight at Foxwoods Press release

I guess they only went with those that actually won a WPT event, except for the VP's and Shulman's.

I can't imagine why. Comparing Joe Sebok to Todd Brunson is a joke. If you don't know much about Todd, read this:

I don't think anyone believes that Sebok is a better overall player than Brunson. But what can be argued is that Sebok is a better NLHE Tournament player than Brunson. (Which is the arguement some posters have made) Brunson doesn't have great results in NL tournaments where Sebok's results over the last few year's have been pretty impressive. (Then again I don't think Brunson plays as many tournaments as Sebok does though)

Also the Proffessor, Banker and the Suicide King (a great book that everyone should read) doesn't really apply to this discussion because the games talked about in that book are Shorthanded Limit Hold' em cash games not NLHE tournaments.

If someone put odds on this match I could see a scenario where I would go with the Shulmans but absent that you have to vote for Doyle and Todd.
