My first 50K hands
I'm a casual player and it's taken me about 5 months to reach my first 50K hands. I'm posting this to maybe inspire some of those that are new to 2p2. I was pretty clueless when i started but was lucky and found this website. It's improved my game tremendously. After donking around in SNGs for awhile my BR had gone from a $100.00 initial deposit to about $20. About that time i found 2p2 and was lucky to score a win in a $6.5 (180) SNG. This brought me back up to around $100 and i vowed not to flirt with busto anymore. So, i started 1 and 2 tabling .02/.05 NL 6 max games with what i was learning here and the rest is history. I am now 4 tabling compfortably and have built my roll up to $600. I am a real nit and haven't even moved up to 10NL yet but plan to starting in July. My realistic goal would be to reach 25NL and get compfortable at that level and perhaps be able to generate some spare cash every now and again. Right now though i'm just moving up slowly and trying to become a better player. I'm still not happy with some of my postflop play and feel like i play a bit too passive at 21/10/2.
Here's the graph: 47K at 5NL, 3K at 10NL Thanks 2p2! |

[ QUOTE ] I'm a casual player [/ QUOTE ] I stopped reading here [/ QUOTE ] Maybe you shouldn't. If anyone here needs to learn what winning players are doing, it's you. Good job OP, nice start. [ QUOTE ] and feel like i play a bit too passive at 21/10/2 [/ QUOTE ] At the micros, that's really not all that bad a strategy. Passive isn't so bad when you have players doing all of your betting for you and running hopeless bluffs constantly as I'm sure you see. |

Nicely done... If only my graph looks like yours... 25K-35K... break even stretch for me. $600 and you're at $5NL? Move up already!! Double your WR!

On topic, congrats OP, I'm currently slumming around at a similar level, except it's .02/.04 limit. What site offers $5 NL? The lowest I've seen is $10, but then again I've only become a member of two sites because I don't have enough spare cash rolling around to properly bonus whore, and want to save up my opportunities. Wherever they have $5 NL would be a great place for me to move to next. |

Re: My first 50K hands
Congrats, and 10k hands a month is still a lot though, I consider myself not really a casual player anymore, and I find it hard to pull of a 20k month 6tabling.

I play NL5 at Party. What happens when a NL5 player finds 2p2 and starts reading NL Holdem- Theory and Practice? Quite obvious. He starts winning 40PTBB/100. Lol. [/ QUOTE ] You're breakeven for 2200 hands, and then make about 400bb in 700 hands... at Party NL5. BBV worthy. |
