Acquiring FPPs on stars
My bankroll is microscopic and I basically get no FPPs for the cash games I'm playing in. On UB there are UB point tournaments to win UB points. Is there anything like that on stars?
I recently discovered the 70fpp satellite into the sunday 100k and I'm addicted, but I'm almost out of FPPs. Help! |

Move up in cash games???
If your bankroll is TINY, play the micro MTTs and multi-table sit-n-gos if you want FPP that bad. You should be more focused about winning $ at the micro levels than getting FPP. |

Re: Acquiring FPPs on stars
Well here's the story:
I was playing break even poker for a long time. I decided that starting over would be good for me. I cashed out like basically all of my bankroll except for $40 and bought a new computer. I have worked my $40 up to $130ish while learning NL too. I'm too impatient and want to play in a live game again. I'm looking for a quick big score to fund a live poker trip. If I stop wasting money on tournament entry fees, I can grind my way back up. FPPs seem like a cheap way to play tourneys without spending my roll. Alas, there is no way to acquire any more free ones. I won my way into this Sunday's 100k, but then I only have 3 satellites worth of FPPs left, so I'll be back to grinding out my new bankroll. Wish me luck in this Sunday, I was on a hot streak last week and got trapped into a nasty flip situation and lost. |

Re: Acquiring FPPs on stars
If you like Sats, you might like the 4 table $2.20 SNGs that award 6 seats. They're somewhat fast, and they are pretty easy to beat. You can grind out tournaments and $T from them.
EDIT: Yay! Post 100 |

I'm looking for a quick big score [/ QUOTE ] people like this don't win at poker. patience, study, and bankroll management will get you there. |

Re: Acquiring FPPs on stars
No fallacies. Playing in the 100k for free when my bankroll can't afford is just a fun change of pace.
davebreal is right though - patience is the thing I have the most trouble with. I'm a winner in the long run, but I had a fairly long break even stretch, and lack of patience was the reason. Thanks for the thoughts guys. |

Re: Acquiring FPPs on stars
I've been multitabling (4-8) 3.40 turbo sngs, (OMG, they're donktastic, check/call,check/call,check/fold LOLZ!), with nowhere near optimal play, and managed to get around 150-ish vpps and increase my roll by 50%. I'm shooting for silverstar for September. As of right now I'm 1777 vpps away, and most of that came yesterday at the expense of my ROI, but who cares, right?
