Well, of course this just begs the reply...

...it will cost you more than $20 not to buy it.

I understand that, and I am saving up so I can buy it, I just can't read it right now.

Probably complete on 3rd.

As played very easy fold on 4th with so little in a limped pot.

We all know winning a hand doesn't mean we played it well. But I'm going to put my Razz-rookie 2 cents in here and say OF COURSE you call 4th.

I put a variety of sims of this hand through propokertools with the unknown cards designated 8 or better. On 4th street you are about a 2 to 1 dog. But you can reasonably expect two players to fold, you are going to be heads-up with Seat 6. Then, I turned it into a hypothetical - if he gets the smallest brick, a 9, and Hero gets a 4, the percentage is then Hero 56% to 44% for Seat 6.

This was also my argument with other forms of poker where people made calling decisions based on probabilities early in a hand, those probabilities change too much from card to card. This has more to do with money. With four to the flop and being able to stay in for only one bet, call 4th. Just be ready to fold at light speed to another if he catches well.

I don't think we should be playing any junk on third unless special circumstances come into play, but unless a whole lot of players are rammin and jammin the pot, I can't think of a scenario where it makes sense to run off at the first bad card and not give yourself a chance to win.

Having said all of that, I will check my own stats and see what the win/loss ratio is when I have done this. Tune-changing may then ensue.

Or not.
