100r: FPS with TT
Fairly new to the table, so no solid reads. The hand before, the villain (someone told me he was Shannon Shorr, but told me after the hand took place; anyway, I have no idea how he plays so I guess it doesn't make a difference) had 3bet me preflop and I folded. For this reason, I got the idea that his cold-call here was at least kind of strong, but I'm not really sure.
Generally, I bet this flop, or maybe c/r this flop. I really had the feeling that I was up against some sort of overpair, or two high cards, and that it was my best way to get some value. Also, if I bet and he raises, I'm in a pretty gross spot. Meh. I guess I'll just shut up and let people pillory me now. Re: 100r: FPS with TT
If he shows the propensity to 3bet, then why would he cold call when he DOES have a monster?
I would bet/call the flop. So you're representing a poorly played AK on the river? I wouldn't believe you. |

Re: 100r: FPS with TT
you went for the check shove on turn and missed, good thing you got it on the river (is what he'll think, TID)

Re: 100r: FPS with TT
So it's a two-way bet? I can just about see this going two ways but neither way very often. I'd just call the river. As a matter of interest, did you shove this on instinct because he bet so small on the river?

That is to say, it's not like I saw he bet tiny on the river and instashoved. The bet size did have something to do with it, though. It made me think he was going for a thinnish value bet with some hand that I couldn't beat, and that he would fold to a shove. I really think he expected me to c/c the river with something like TT-77, so...i craied. I mean, I probably should have done something earlier in the hand to avoid getting in this spot, but once there, it seemed like an ok play. Also, I think the only things I'm representing are super slowplayed sets that whiffed checkraises on the turn, or perhaps 45 that whiffed a c/r on the turn. |
