Default Live 4/8 A8o TP hand

foxwoods 4/8

This is ridiculous but I don't often find myself playing this type of hand. I often fold A6o-A2o in the SB.

I'm pretty sure the flop is my worst street here and boondogles the rest of the hand.

MP is an old man type who would limp just about any ace
LP I don't know, he's loose passive and has a wide range

Hero is in small blind with A8 offsuit

3 limpers: EP, MP, LP, hero completes, BB checks

Flop A 6 2 rainbow (4.5 SB)
Hero checks, BB checks, EP checks, MP bets, LP calls, hero raises, MP and LP call

Turn 2 (5 BB)
Hero bets, MP calls, LP calls

River 3 no flush possible (8 BB)
Hero bets,

It depends if you think MP raises a big ace preflop.

If you think all aces are equally likely, I think I'd check/call on the river.

He will probably only raise AKs-AJs and AKo, not AQo

I'm not sure if the flop matters one way or the other. If you lead and don't get raised you are going to play the hand the same way as shown. Can you lay it down if you get raised on the river?

at a live game, it would be a pretty easy bet/fold.

Brian, do you more or less suck at poker? What's confusing about this hand to you, sir?

Anyway, I'm kidding. I think this way is fine given the level of aggression at the Foxwoods $4/$8, but I personally prefer to just bet the flop--it fits better with my unexploitable strategy of betting good hands and checking-folding bad ones.

I think really you're posting this because you were down a bunch and not thinking straight. It seems like a relatively straightforward hand. Don't even [censored]' worry about it.
