In response to (or moreso the lack thereof) the Live Earth festival, what bands would you most like to see if you could pick a lineup for a big show?
This is not a 'fantasy' lineup, so no crazy reunions please. Only existing bands or possibles (like The Police or The Who, who still get together once in a while) U2 REM Pearl Jam Genesis The Who Peter Gabriel Cake Live Ben Folds Red Hot Chili Peppers Nine Inch Nails Weezer Radiohead Ryan Adams Wilco John Mayer No Doubt These are just a few that are on the top of my head. What are yours? |

Sorry, guids, no.
Imagine you are a promoter/producer. You get to write the contracts and hire whoever is out there. Go from there. |

Now that Roger Waters is on, during the prime hours of the show, I enact my 'Tom Petty' clause.
He should be put on stage in place of any single, ex bandmate of some defunct supergroup, because he could still do a better job than most. Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins don't count as being subsitutable because they rock in their own right. |

I would want a 3 day festival with Arcade Fire, Wilco, and either the Pixies (1st choice), Fiona Apple (many boos from the choir, I know), or Phish as headliners.
