I feel like I've got when to push down pretty good, but I'm having trouble assigning proper ranges to pushes. What do you guys do here?

Can't just pull a range out of mid air. Need reads but he would have to be shoving super wide which I doubt he is with the BB so deep. Fold. A7 isn't crushing any decent shoving range.

[/ QUOTE ] I've recently been 6-10 tabling cascaded rather than my normal 4 tiled so it's been a lot harder to pick up reads. Is there something you guys do who play 8+ tables do to get reads? Just use HUD or what? I stopped using HUD when I started playing more tables to keep it cleaner. |

K, lets say we're in the BB instead of SB. Are you calling here now? For any reasonable range this is a call on SNGPT

I usually tile 18 but ive been told recently that im insane for doing so. This, however, gives me the best chance of making notes and obtaining reads, and ive been able to do that on most of my tables for at least 1 or 2 players pretty consistently. combined with hud stats im pretty comfortable making decisions, but of course i dont pick up all the reads that i could by cutting table amount in half. honestly, its just a matter of figuring out how to pay attention to the big pots, and to try and find the hands that will help give you the reads you need. For example, if i see a reraised pot going on and then a limped pot taking a flop, im going to watch the reraised pot because its more likely going to be a bigger pot and more likely im going to be able to see a showdown and get those reads etc... its really just about finding how you best watch the games, and combining the methods of obtaining reads with the optimal table amount, cascading vs tiling, continuous v. in sets, etc... gl. |

22+,A2+,KT+,QJ. some people shove this tight. its -EV to call on this range (-0.2).
22+,A2+,K9+,QJ, JTs, T9s. Breakeven at this range, there are no antes, and youre probably a lot better than everyone else. still an easy fold at this range, all things considered. 22+,A2+,K8o+,K6s, Q4s+,Q6o+,J7s+,J9o+,T8s+,98s. +0.6 here. i realy dont know what kind of specific range to assign someone at a 6.50, but this should give you an idea of how close it may be |

The typical player is not aware of ICM stuff, and will call too loose and push too tight. I don't think a typical unknown at this level is pushing K6, Q4, J7, etc. They are typically very much worried about 'survival' or whatever, and i would put a typical player on a range of A2+, two broadways, and any PP. I don't think they're pushing wider than that. |
