Boring Players Whose Game You Respect
With some of the threads about players who make for good TV without necessarily being the best, I think this is a logical question to ask.
Who are the players out there whose abilities at the poker table you respect (you may even think them among the best), but who you don't really want to see on TV because you find them boring? I would guess that this list is going to be populated by tight players, although some players may be chosen because they have dry and uninteresting personalities or because they never talk at the table. What's your nightmare table of great but boring players? |

Re: Boring Players Whose Game You Respect
For tournaments, I'd say Jesus. He's not tight or nitty, but extremly tiring to watch as he takes quite a while to act.

Re: Boring Players Whose Game You Respect
The entire new breed of internet pros.
The USPC final three. Three young internet pros playing good poker and not speaking. ESPN canceled the USPC after that final. Where's the John Madden of poker? The networks did to hire better announcers. Don't depend on the players to entertain the viewers. |
