Similar flop to VinceVegas\' hand
$100/200 at the Muckleshoot casino 6 handed. I raise T9 of clubs UTG (please no preflop critique. I know the T high 9 kicker is not in the preflop starting hand chart from this position). 2 cold calls behind me and the small and big blind call. 5 ways to the flop.
KT5 with 2 diamonds, it's checked to me and I check to see how everybody feels about their hand. Basically the 2 blinds would almost always try a checkraise here with a K or better and the guys behind me would definitely bet a K, set but maybe not a draw or a T. The flop is checked around. Turn makes the board KT58 and now there's a heart flush draw as well as a diamond draw. The small blind checks and the big blind bets. The big blind is not folding pairs heads up today (he'd never fold 77 if it was heads up on this board) wouldn't 3bet a draw here but would definitely bet one. I decide to raise and check behind all rivers that don't give me 2 pair. Good idea? |

Re: Similar flop to VinceVegas\' hand
I suppose that's ok if someone behind you didn't pick up (or already have), a flush draw and would 3-bet you in this spot. Even then, their hand shouldn't be too concerning unless he made a set of eights. But I don't love your kicker, which is why I wouldn't have raised from so early pre-fl... Oops! I forgot, we're not getting into that.

Re: Similar flop to VinceVegas\' hand
If BB will c/r a king on the flop, you probably wish you had bet the flop right about now? I would've dumped this on the turn, but if he calls your raise and you're HU going to river, bet any river card.

Re: Similar flop to VinceVegas\' hand
How often does 1/2 go at the muck?
What else do they get going regularly? How's the game quality? Nice hand. |

Re: Similar flop to VinceVegas\' hand
If your going to check the flop you played the turn perfect....calling or folding here I think is a mistake, your plan sounds perfect to me.

Re: Similar flop to VinceVegas\' hand
Anyhow one guy cold called 2 and the BB called as well. The river checked down, BB had J8o the cold caller had the draw and MHIG.
thanks for the comments. Oh btw the muck game goes 2x a week on Tues/Thurs. Usually it's $50/$100 with $100/200 over buttons but when lucky we get the 1/2. |

Re: Similar flop to VinceVegas\' hand
I think you played it well w/ the flop check and the amount of people left to act after you.
Let's say there is one less call preflop from LP. Do you bet flop then? How about if SB does not call preflop...would you lead flop? |
