Your five favorite games of all time?
This was a pretty hard list for me to make, but it's kind of fun to think about sometimes.
5. Roller Coaster Tycoon - I loved how this game was so unrestrictive and let you be as creative as you wanted. One of the few singleplayer games that retained replayability after it was completed. 4. Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past - as far as sense of accomplishment after beating a game, this one is tops for me. 3. Super Mario 64 - as far as sheer fun goes, I don't see how this game is topable. Graphics still manage to hold up decently over time and game is always a blast to play. 2. Age of Empires: Age of Kings/Age of Conquerors - This game was amazing online. Easily have spent the most time on this one. 1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - game is perfect. Honorable Mentions: Halo 2 (prepatch, that is - anybody else know of the dummy glitch?), Madden 2006 (I played that a lot online), KOTOR (only real RPG I've played - I really enjoyed it). this entire list is subject to change if Twilight Princess stays amazing. |

Re: Your five favorite games of all time?
in no particular order, for sheer moments of brilliance and more moments of thinking to myself "this is the best game i've ever played" than other games,
xenogears chrono trigger final fantasy ii zelda OOT tales of symphonia honorable mention: super metroid, castlevania: symphony of the night, a link to the past, final fantasy III, final fantasy VII, lufia: fortress of doom twilight princess could be up there but it's too new in my mind and i did blow through it in like a week |

Re: Your five favorite games of all time?
1. "Bards Tale 1" The old commadore64 version. Played that for hrs when I was a kid.
2. "Bards Tale 2- The Destiny Knight" Not as good as the first but still cool. 3."Pool of Radiance" another c64 roleplaying game. 4. "Baldur's Gate 2" for xbox. This was seriously the best rpg I ever played. I tried playing it for the pc, but just wasnt the same. 5. All of the early nes games ( way to many to list). Props out to the dude that worked on the first Wizardry Game. My friend had it on his IBM and played it all the time. I think he had a ninja that was 150th level. |

Re: Your five favorite games of all time?
I was thinking about doing a post like this too. I'm not sure of the order, but my list definitely has:
Planescape: Torment Ocarina of Time Oblivion Metroid Prime Half Life Honorable mentions to NHL 93/94 for Genesis, KOTOR, Civ, Quest for Glory, Mario Kart & Baldur's Gate. (If I really forced myself to think about it, I might even move some of these into the top 5.) |

Re: Your five favorite games of all time?
Zelda Ocarina of Time - The most perfect video game I've ever played.
Goldeneye - The best multiplayer game ever and my favorite FPS. Metal Gear Solid 3 - I never played MSG 1, so I can't really comment on whether or not it's the best MSG in the series. I just loved the idea that you couldn't just run through levels shooting everybody. Winning Eleven Soccer 9 - Definitely the most fun sports game I've ever played. It's pretty much a perfect soccer simulation. Super Mario 64 - I was just completely blown away when I played this game. I could even get my dad, who thinks video games are dumb and a waste of time, to play it for a while. I wanted to throw in Lakers vs. Celtics somewhere, but I couldn't bump anyting else out. Super Metroid, Zelda: A link to the past, and tetris just missed as well. |
