200NL 99 Not sure about my line
Villain doesn't raise much preflop. If I remember correctly he's running about 20/8/2

Re: 200NL 99 Not sure about my line
Depends a bit on my current image, but I generally raise donk bets like that on the flop. If not, and I call, I'm folding to the turn bet. And, as played, on the river, I'd probably just call.

Re: 200NL 99 Not sure about my line
I enjoy raising the turn as it lets us set the price for showdown as well as having fold equity.
raising on the flop is grand as well but for me it really depends on how donkbet-happy villain is. |

[/ QUOTE ] i don't understand either of your suggestions. if we raise the turn what better hands are folding that the Villain likely has? And same with the flop? Or is the flop for value? And I guess some skeptical worse hands that donk the flop might call a raise, but don't those same people call a thin river bet. |

Re: 200NL 99 Not sure about my line
why are we folding the river when we get there? if we muck to the river bet we should have left on the flop/turn. this looks fine to me. i normally raise flop donks of all kinds, but given villain i think calling once and shutting down afterwards is fine. i'm ok with you calling the turn after you pick up outs. even though AA/KK/AJ/kj are in his range, I think only aj/kj (that you beat) would call a shove, so I'd just call his river bet. it's not a great spot though, and you're losing to a boat fairly often.

Re: 200NL 99 Not sure about my line
im probably folding the turn here because even with our river it may have some RIO associated with it. as played given the river you have to call.
im folding the turn here though against this guy |

Re: 200NL 99 Not sure about my line
actually i change my mind on the turn call, you should just fold there. if villain doesn't already have a boat, a K on the river is almost always going to give him either a better straight (AJ) or a boat (KJ).

Re: 200NL 99 Not sure about my line
Ye, I'm agree with folding turn, it was cheap so I was tempted to call. BTW I think if we call the turn, we have to call the river ?
