Need Help with Bet Sizes
I had been active at the table recently and had just cbet into villain the past two hands, both of which he folded on flop. This made me think he had something much weaker than what he actuall did, so I didn't want to lose him on flop if he held tpwk, straight got there on turn and i still wanted to keep him in if he didnt have it and i was obv scared to bet river.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 5 players Converter Pre-flop: (5 players) JReezy is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] JReezy raises to $3.5, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($11, 3 players) BB checks, JReezy bets $7, Button folds, BB raises to $14, JReezy raises to $33, BB calls. Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($78, 2 players) BB checks, JReezy bets $33, BB calls. River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($157, 2 players) BB checks, JReezy checks. Results: Final pot: $157 i know i should be betting more somewhere to get his stack in there and ive been having this problem alot lately where i dont think i get enough of opponents stack when they have a solid inferior hand to mine. reading balugas recent post where one of his three tips was to bet more reminded me of this and i think its my main leak. any suggestions? |

Re: Need Help with Bet Sizes
assuming 100bb stacks make it 38-44 on flop. Set up for a nice river push!

Re: Need Help with Bet Sizes
Can't give good betsize advice without knowing stack sizes...
Raise to atleast 40 on the flop... That way you can usually get the rest in on the turn. As played with this weak flop raise, fire atleast 45 on the turn. |

Re: Need Help with Bet Sizes
that turn bet is terrible !!!!!
You give him real good odds for his ace high flush draw .. You want to force your opponents to make mistakes.. not force them to call |

Re: Need Help with Bet Sizes
Bet more on the flop, something like 9. Re-raise more on the flop too, to like 40. Stack sizes would be helpful for any more information.

Re: Need Help with Bet Sizes
Make that first bet $8-$9. If they'll call $7, they'll call a few bucks more. After he c/r's you, look and see how much he has left. If you raise him 1/3 of his stack, you can get it in on the next street easily.
