Default Hi All, Railbird turning Player here... newbie to forum

Hello, I have been a lurker for some time, I thought I'd finally jump in and say hi! I'm a freelance writer, who loves the game of poker. Typicaly I'm a railbird, but I'm hoping to change that shortly. There are a few small games I'm aware of in my area, and I was hoping to come to the experts for the actualy game play advice based on the experiance, that I do not have.... beginner advice welcome can't wait to dive in, just as soon as i can remember the hand i folded then kicked myself for lastnight... lol

Welcome, Writer! Glad to see you're here. Your best bet for game-improving advice would be the "game" forums (Micro Stakes NL, Small Stakes NL, etc). NVG is fun for exactly that - news and gossip.

If you're serious about improving, play a lot of hands (ideally at smaller real money tables...deposit $50 on Stars or Full Tilt), study the hands that confuse you, post hand histories and ask for advice from the forums. before you know it, you'll be winning and moving up stakes. good luck!!

That is such a sweet scam, I had no idea you could just write about something you don’t really understand and get paid.

If anyone is interested in buying some articles on modern brain surgery techniques and the future of the science, please pm me for details.

First off, I don't see how you can say "i'm just not good at the game, and am hoping to get better..." yet accept money from people for writing articles and not understand how that is a scam.

Secondly, no I have no problem. I'm impressed you can pull it off.
