While this may be pretty standard, just wanting to do a self-check on this, this being the most interesting hand of the session...
This was from Labor Day at the Venetian... The game is playing pretty deep (uncapped game) and I'm one of the shorter stacks w/ @ $2500. The two villains in the hand both have me covered with MP having UTG+1 covered as well. I had been playing pretty TAG, although overlimping in position on occassion and I have yet to show down a loser in the 2.5 hours I'd been there. UTG+1 ($3000) opens for $70 (fairly standard raise in this game) and MP ($4000) calls. Folded to me in the SB w/ 77. I call as well. Flop: 552r I check, UTG+1 CBets $160, MP thinks for a short while and calls. Action back to me and Hero ??? Reads: UTG+1 is at least a regular in this game. Seems pretty solid. I've seen him make some timely folds when facing aggression (assuming my reads were right, he has shown the ability to laydown overpairs if he really thinks he is beaten). But if he thinks he's getting bluff raised, can call down with an underpair. Has not gotten too out of line at any time since I've been at the table (2.5 hrs). I'm not sure if he'd fire into 2 opp's w/ a bricked AK etc. MP is definitely a pro/reg in this game. Usually plays deeper/bigger (based on his conversation trying to get the major donator to come back when avg stack is $10k). Will attack anything he perceives as weakness and tends to call down somewhat light. Likes to use position when he has it, but otherwise, seems reasonable, albeit nothing spectacular though. Again, has shown to call down somewhat lightly. |

Eh, fold. Good chance one of them has you beat, and even if best case scenario UTG+1 has AK and MP has 66 you have to dodge 8 outs, not to mention you can't get any value whatsoever from the hand unless you improve, which is obviously very unlikely. Plus you say villains are both regulars/pros, and I imagine they are going to bluff various turn cards, etc. Just fold.

[/ QUOTE ] ahhhhh ok....I think you could go either way. I think The original bettor will fold almost every time if you raise, it's the other guy I'd be most worried about. |
