a math question i think
6 players
Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls, BB checks. Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5SB, 5 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO checks, Hero checks. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2.5BB, 5 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO bets, Hero ??? Also i debated betting the flop, but decided to take a free card, only because i think that even if i bet the flop, it doesn't come close to guaranteein me a free card on the turn, because its so multiway, i think its likely i get checkriased now, or donked into on the turn |

Re: a math question i think
I think you should bet this flop to increase the chances you win if you spike a 9 or a T. Getting check/raised can be a good thing for you if it is a hand like 87 or A6 that is isolating you.
I think the turn is a pretty easy call. You are getting paid in at least one place and will often get a double bet in on the river if you hit. |

what about raising preflop? [/ QUOTE ] bad idea. you don't have the best hand the huge majority of the time, and why bloat a pot when you can get in cheap with position and see the flop before you decide to commit more chips. That said, I'd have bet this flop, and yes I'd call the turn as played. |

Re: a math question i think
Probably CO bet because hero didn't on the flop. There are all the AdXd hands making a better flush that hero doesn't have to worry about, like he would have to when it was another diamond.
So you've got 9 outs to the flush that will be the best hand a lot more often than not, and 4 outs for the nut straight. Thats 13 outs or a 28% chance of hitting one on the river. Lets say you are a 20% or 4 to 1 dog to win this, because your flush won't always be good (just an estimation). The pot contains only 3.5 big bets (5 small from preflop and one big from CO) and it's one to call... If you add one river bet your implied odds are 4.5 to 1, just enough to call one bet here and hope to win. |

OK to call, I think. Without the gutshotdraw it's a lot closer, but I probably call that as well hoping for another caller.
