Re: NL400 HU TPGK+fd flop decision
Looks good to me. Once you raise, you have to get it in after he 3-bets. Not sure if I raise the flop here. It seems like we are turning TP + FD into just a FD since he probably isn't going to be getting it in too light 200bb deep... could be wrong though.

Re: NL400 HU TPGK+fd flop decision
Calling the flop would be nice this deep... I'm not an HU expert though, if the game was very agressive with lots of raising you should also raise this flop probably, so you force him to get it in light vs. your monsterdraw.

Re: NL400 HU TPGK+fd flop decision
He is 17/13 at 6max? So I am assuming he is still a nit HU?
I don't think a nit would put 200bb into this flop without a set. I definitely like a call on this flop. You aren't getting called by anything you beat. Since you have Jd..JdTd is out and so is AdJd. I don't think the nit puts it in here with these hands anyways. I don't see why you can't fold after he 3bets you on the flop. Only hand you have decent equity against is AA |

Re: NL400 HU TPGK+fd flop decision
he has KQ/KK/QQ/77 most likely, less often AK or AA. without stoving it, i think you can actually get away once he 3bets. i'd have just called flop and no, not being results-oriented. i'm a lot more likely to raise with bottom pair + FD than with top pair + FD, because obv one wants FE more and one has SD value without improving
edit: but i should add there's nothing particularly wrong with raising. it is HU after all and you have a big hand. i dont get what you accomplish by raising that big though.. not like you're that concerned with pricing out draws. if you are gonna raise i like a smaller raise to $140-$150 and then a fold in the rare case that he 3bets big |

Re: NL400 HU TPGK+fd flop decision
I don't like the flop raise, seems like you're folding out all worse hands, and going to get it in as a coinflip/dog with hands that beat you.
